Though it is humanly not possible to explore entire Milky Way galaxy in one life span. Well, check out a recent buzz from Google Chrome Workshop with their latest experiment using HTML5 & Javascript. Conceptually, they have formed packed Milk Way Galaxy inside a Chrome Browser window. And this time I am really serious!
They claim to have 100,000 stars in the cluster. Not sure, as I couldn’t count them all. It allows you to explore each click-able star and displays relevant information as an excerpt from Wikipedia.
It is an amazing concept for students, space enthusiasts and strollers (like me) who can sit all day and explore Milky Way stars counting 1.
Here is the link to Explore Milk Way galaxy and make sure you open it in Google Chrome Browser on Windows/Mac having alteast 256MB of Video Memory.
